Welcome to South Towns Camera Club (STCC)

You've come to the right place if you'd like to learn the art of photography!  Our members range from beginners to professionals and have a wide range of photographic interests and skills to share with you.  Accomplished photographers from STCC and other camera clubs, as well as local professionals, present instructional programs and critique our monthly competitions to help members improve their skills.  Visitors are always welcome to attend our meetings.

Our semi-monthly meetings alternate between competitions and instructional programs.  Both are great opportunities for inspiration and learning.  Past programs have covered wide-ranging topics like portraiture, nature, macro, travel and night photography as well as post-processing techniques using a variety of editing software.

Competitions are popular and members are encouraged, but not required, to participate.  Listening to a professional photographer's critique of member's submissions is a great way to learn and improve your own skills.

Photographic field trips are organized periodically and offer another great opportunity to develop your skills, share knowledge and spend time with a great group of people who share your interest in photography.  These trips are designed for photographers of all levels.

Meetings are normally held on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month, September to May, at 7:00 p.m., at the Hamburg Community Center, 107 Prospect Ave, Hamburg, NY. (South of Buffalo, NY)
Basic Instruction Workshops are held at 6:00 p.m. on program nights.  2020-21 meetings will be held virtually due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

There is a reduced annual membership fee of $25 per individual for 2020-21.  You must be a member to submit photos for competition.  You can print a copy of the New Member Application Form or Membership Renewal Form and mail in with your membership fee.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, all trainings and competitions will be held remotely in 2020-21.  Digital images must be submitted on this website for competition by midnight on the first Thursday of the month.  On the third Thursday of the month, our normal competition night, we will have a virtual meeting.  The images, scores and judge's comments will be shared at that time.
Please see the 2020-21 Meeting Schedule for more information.
